Every emirate of UAE has different rules on visa, immigration, residence, contracts, ban, re-entry. This is a common understanding.

Every time a rule is changed, but as far as i know, let me reply you.
You can do the attestation in Bangalore itself. Go to the state home department in MG road, mayo hall. I think there is a office who can help you.
For attestation in person you need to be there. If you are not there give a authorization letter to your wife.
If you can not do it yourself, please rely on a commercial service which is expensive.

Get a family status with your employer. Then
1) Get Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate for your kid,
2) Get Passports for your spouse and kids
3) Get Visa from emirate Naturalization & Residence Department.
4) Fax visa copy, and tickets
5) Welcome them, and then affix the residence visa to their passport after medical examination.—Each visa should cost you about 700 Dhs / AED for 3 years validity.

I was in Employment Visa as a Electrical Engineer, Now i got the job in DEWA. Already i was canceled my visa. I have 6month Labour ban. In this case can got the DEWA Visa? These days i hear if you have completed 3 years of service, your ban can be removed by paying a fee to the ministry of labor department. See http://archive.gulfnews.com/articles/07/.. – if you got the visa, i think you can enter. Before issuing the visa they will check your ban status, etc.,

U R doing a fantastic job by helping lot of people who are in dark about the attestation procedures and other UAE related issues.
This is not only to congratulate you but to convey the attestation procedure i understood by me.
1. Go to the state secretariot and get the first attestation at home dept.
2. I think they verify with the HRD(this process takes 10-15 days i think)
3.After that proceed to delhi and get the attestation of the MEA
4.Finally approach the embassy.(they charge INR750/Cert for normal process and INR 1500/Cert to get done on same day.

You should have ecnr stamp on your passport for all GCC (Gulf co-operation countries) / middle east. Go to passport office and get this done – just a days work. If you got the passport from chennai, go to chennai or else trichy in tamil nadu.

ur blog is very informative. i hv got a job offer from a company in Abu Dhabi. I need to get my PGCBM degree from XLRI Jamshedpur attested by the UAE Embassy. Could you suggest me some agencies(apart from the one listed above) who could do the job. I checked with urogulf but they said that if i can complete HRD, then they can do MEA and UAE Embassy attestation.
Also advise me what is HRD and if i need to do it then what is the procedure.Eurogulf said that i need to get the certificate verified by XLRI and then get it attested from the State Secretariat. I am confused regarding HRD could u please help me out.

This blog is very informative and i really appreciate the efforts taken by Muthu. I got an offer from Saudi (with family status) and i was asked to file my certifcate in HRD (Secretariat Chennai)and i have filed my certificate. The certificate is to be verified by Commissionar of Police (COP). I have filed my certificate on 6th May’08 and yesterday i have enquired my status, it seems to be they yet to receive from COP. I went to COP and i was told that, they yet to receive documents from Secretariat. I enquired Secretariat, i was told that the document is dispatced on May 9th. Whether i need to wait for some time? I am wondering whether it will take so many days to reach COP from Secretariat? My only concern is, the document shouldn’t misplaced. Any comment/suggestions are welcome.

hi everyone,
guys plz don go for attestation thru any agent especially urogulf ,as they r the worst agents i have ever come across. i came to know about urogulf thru this blog, i am not blaming anyone but i just wanted to share my bitter experiences with urogulf. i along with three of my frnds submitted my B.E degree at urogulf for attestation. i submitted for HRD tamil nadu, MEA delhi,qatar embassy . they said the full process would be over in 30 days , but HRD was still not completed even fter 40 days, if i as them they they reply in a very rude manner. then i went to secretariat and somehow got my work done. my file no was missed while entering it in records, had i not gone to secretariat my file would have been there for years and urogulf din take any responsibility to find out why it got delayed. the same was the case with my other 2 frnds also. then when i asked about MEA attestation, they said it ll go to delhi but there is an office in chennai itself. i found that they r telling lies and misguiding people. so i took back my certificate after HRD process. in fact i paid 4000 advance , but they din return even 1 single rupee back, they took the money for doing nothing. more over they don treat us well. they r just like courier service , they don have any influence anywhere, instead of we standing in the que and submitting the documents, they do it for us, for which they charge 8000 rupees. guys out of my bitter experience what i suggest u is don go thru agents, do the HRD anbd MEA urself and for the embassy process , submit it in Akbar travels, they are very proffesional and they got my qatar attestation done in 4 days. they charge 4000 for tat. so u can finish of ur total expense by 4000, instead of spending 8000 for these stupid agents like urogulf.don think i am suggesting lot of things, i just don want anyone to suffer like me and my frnds. don go to urogulf office , parrys, chennai.

First of All, Thank you for all the info that you have provided. My query is regarding the comment one of the user raghav had put reffering urogulf at raghav (Email) – 28 May ‘08 – 08:02 – Reply on raghav . I have completed my HRD attestion from Bangalore and im yet to complete the MEA attestation from Delhi. I was about to drop into UROGULF office for the same . But after reading the users comment im little bit sceptical .Could you throw some more light on this so that we can go to the agency without any hesitation . Thanks in Advance .

My husband wants to search job in Dubai.We heard that nowadays UAE providing one month tourist visa. He is currently working in chennai as Mechanical Design Engineer. Before coming to Dubai he needs to resign his job. We have a fear is it possible for him to get job within a month. His brother is in DUbai so he will be taking visa for him. I had worked in Abu Dhabhi from 2004 may to Sep2004 with proper workpermit from the company.I left Abu Dhabhi without cancelling my workpermit.Afterwards i did’n’t turnup to Abudhabhi to cancel my workpermit. I send my resignation through scanned copy to my employer.After one year i was coming to india on oct 2005 from nigeria via Dubai to chennai. Emirates airlines arranged one day visit visa at dubai. But i was not allowed to go outside by immigration dept because of not cancelling my wokpermit.Now i work for MNC in India where i am required to visit Dubai Officially(Visit Visa).Will they allow me to enter Dubai or still the ban will be alive. How can i check my status.

The best option for you is to contact your old employer and http://www.dnrd.gov.ae/DNRD?lang=en-GB to resolve the issue easily. They being the prime authority, I wouldn’t advice you to go to any agents. Apology for what had happened with the old employer or DNRD and then you can lift this ban easily.

I wanted to know if one Employer has got Employment entry Visa, but i have not entered UAE. Now i have got an another offer, so can the new Co. process Visa for me. And if i ask my previous employer to cancel the Employment entry Visa, without informing of my new offer, will i have any kind of ban.

Refer my mail dated 29th december 2008 reg my visa. I had send my details to my friend working in that company and got e-mail reply (forwarded by him) that my visa was cancelled from 2006.I will be officially going to dubai on march for a week.Is there any other method to check whether my visa is cancelled. I dont want to get stranded in the airport.

Vishal: If you have time, I advice you to go in person, and get all this done. This will take about less than 1 or 2 days. Agents will also charge the same amount, but its a risk too.

[santosh:4] [john:3] I understand marriage certificate has to be attested by Ministry of External Affairs, India in order to apply for UAE resident visa for spouse. my Queries are as under:
1)What is the proceedure for getting this attestation from MEA? The marriage certificate has been issued by Government of Karnataka, Registrar of Marriages.
2)Does this certificate need any other attestation / legalisation before submitting to MEA? Any other supporting documents are required for submission to MEA?

First of all, thanks a lot for generating and maintaining such a useful blog…I have got a job offer from Sharjah and I will be taking my wife and kids with me. With respect to marriage certificate and birth certificates, My doubt is –
1. Is it necessary to get Home department attestation prior to MEA and UAE Embassy attestation?
2. In Rajasthan, who is Authority for HOme deptt.? Whether SDM is an approprioate autjority ?
3. I am staying in Mumbai, Can MEA and UAE embassy in Mumbai do required attestations?

I need some clarification regarding HRD attestation.Recently i was called from a Agency in hyderabad that they are recruiting for a UAE based firm.For that they asked for my engineering certificates to get attested by HRD.and they promised they will do the remaining UAE attestation

hi,i worked in dubai for al-futtaim for one year in 2008 ,i came on my vaccation ,later i dint go back though my emplyment visa was valid till 2011.Now 2010 feb i have a very good offer in dubai ,i wanna know will there be any problem in my visa for new job as i had not cancelld my earlier visa ,and the company had no issues with me not going back.but its writen in the visa that the residence permits becomes invalid if bearer stays outside uae more than 6 months .is it neccessory to have visa canceld stamp on it? will the present employer have any problem with it ?please help me

HI,
I have a job offer from a Sharjah ( saifee zone ) based company. I wanted to know the shortest possible way to get a work permit / residence visa. I am told first I have to get certificates attested from MEA and then UAE embassy in India and then send it to my company in Sharjah and then the company will process the visa …is their a better and easy way ( I am in Mumbai )..I have a diploma ( post 10 +2 ) with 16 years senior level experience.

I’m working in Oman for the past 5 months. My company is ready to provide the family status for me. I’m not having any registered marriage certificate with me. Our Marriage was on May 2002. In My Passport & My wife’s passport spouse name mentioned. But few days back i came to know that attested marriage certificate is mandatory for applying family visa in sultanate of oman. When we enquired with registrar office they mentioned that my presence is must for registration. Is there any alternate ways are possible to get without my presence?

hello doc, i think u better do it urself, dont approach any agents,they wud charge u exorbitant amounts .
state HRD would take around 2 weeks and
MEA takes not even a day,
then approach oman embassy urself with the HRD AND MEA attested documents,
this is what i did
